WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY - ILLUSION IN RUINS
In the last 9 years, I have been traveling around the world to capture monuments at night. Mainly in ex-Yugoslavia, ex-Soviet, and East European countries. Many of them nowadays have been abandoned and neglected by people. I want to capture and re-create their eternal beauty.
From abandoned Yugoslavian military base to WW2 Atlantic wall bunkers. From Cold War NATO radar base to Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. From Chinese amusement parks to Belgium cooling towers. From abandoned residential houses, theatres, stadiums, prisons, casinos, to underground sewers, military bunkers. So far I have explored hundreds of abandoned locations all over the world. They are my playground at night, a game to explore and to create.

I’m always fascinated by reinforced concrete architecture and man-made structures. From brutalist, soviet-modernist buildings to military bunkers, breakwater concrete blocks. They are under our feet and above our heads, forming the background infrastructure of our environment. They are rough, heavy, carrying our past painful memories or beautiful fantasies.
Love Letter is an experimental work I created in cooperation with Marcusue. They are double exposure portraits featuring old abandoned architecture and melancholic backgrounds nestled into the crevices of young faces.
